In south pacific seas, in between California and the northern part of indonesia. The coordinates are 13 28 North and 144 47 East. This is my home and. An extremely beautiful country. What makes this island so magnificent is the untouched forrest that have markings all around the paths dating back thousands of years ago. It has many different climates in different areas. It many has this fantastic warm climate, pretty much a tropical climate. Its climate is a very comfortable humid almost all year around. Even when it rains the sun still shines through the thin clouds giving the some of the greatest displays of nature known to man. Many colorful rainbows to appear and in our culture a rainbow is like a loved one that has lost there life is dropping down to say hello.
The island people are friendly and giving so this makes a very loving atmosphere. The U.S. calls my island Guam because they could not pronounce the correct name that is actually Gua han. Which means “We Have so we give ”. Our people are a very giving people and always willing to share with eachother.
The island of Guam is full of beautiful lush green jungles filled with many different trees that bear fruit, such as mango, papaya and coconut. There are also many plants that are not in other places that are in fact edible. The food there is plentifull and extremely delicious. It is a combination of influences by oriental food and Spanish food because when the Japanese and Spanish came to TRY and conquer us they left some food dishes. The island is surrounded with crystal clear ocean waters, which are no doubt inviting to anyone who flies over. It is protected by the surrounding coral reef (similar to Hawaii’s) that are just as colorful as the forests of the island.
The United States Military base is one of the biggest industries of Guam. Touring is also a very important industry. The military base takes up one third of the island, which has many sacred ancient burial grounds, and fishing and hunting areas has been restricted for many decades. This is very sad for the native people not to be able to walk in the steps of their beloved ancestors. The jungle and beaches of this one third is no longer needed for jungle warfare training, yet the government will not give it back to the people or allow them onto the sacred and ancient area. Hopefully the people will succeed in at the very least, to be allowed to fish and hunt again in this area.
There are many tourist who come from all around the world. It is like a little Hawaii. There are very lucrative industries in Guam, such as… construction, transshipment services, concrete products, printing and publishing, food processing, and textiles, imports and exports. Some of these industries are multimillion industries.
Guam is a very beautiful tropical paradise This county has the map reference that is Oceania. The land boundaries are 0 km. Since this country is an island in the Pacific Ocean. It has a whole bunch of coastlines on all sides of it. Now to Guam’s demographics.

There are 111,895 people in Guam that are between the ages of 15-64 years of age. There are 57,023 that are male and 54,872 women in Guam right now. This age group holds the most amount of people. At the age of 60 and over, you in a group of people that holds 6.9% of the people in Guam. 5,592 of these people are men and 6,345 of them are females.
